Does the installation damage my window?

No. Our installations are designed to be secure while avoiding permanent damage whenever possible.

Can the panel be removed later?

Yes. All setups can be removed if needed for seasonal storage or future window access.

Do you work with condo and apartment windows?

Yes. We regularly install custom panels for condos, apartments, and rental properties throughout Metro Vancouver.

Are your panels Strata Council approved?

In most cases, yes. Our clear acrylic panels are designed to maintain a clean, low-visibility appearance from the exterior and are often far more discreet than traditional portable AC venting methods. Final approval requirements may vary depending on your individual strata bylaws.

What types of windows do you work with?

We work with many common window styles including sliding windows, casement windows, awning windows, and sliding doors. We also regularly install custom venting solutions over wood-burning fireplaces utilizing the chimney for hot air exhaust.

Can you install dual hose systems?

Yes. We can fabricate custom openings for single hose, dual hose, and large oval combined hose portable AC systems.

Will the panel improve cooling efficiency?

Yes. A tighter seal helps reduce hot air leakage and allows your portable AC to cool faster and more efficiently.

Is the acrylic clear?

Yes. Our standard panels use crystal-clear acrylic designed to maintain a clean, modern appearance while still allowing natural light through.

Are other panel colours or finishes available?

Yes. In addition to our standard clear acrylic panels, we also offer:
– Frosted privacy acrylic
– Light, medium & dark tinted acrylic

Our tinted options have a clean “sunglasses lens” appearance while still allowing light through. These upgraded finishes are popular for reducing visibility, glare, and improving appearance on certain window styles.
Tinted and frosted acrylic options typically add approximately $50 to the project cost.

How is it attached to my window?

Our standard installation method uses industrial-grade hook-and-loop fastening strips with high-temperature adhesive rated up to 120°C. This is not typical craft-store Velcro — it is specifically designed to withstand the heat generated by both your portable AC exhaust and direct sunlight, while still allowing the panel to be removable when needed.

Will my blinds still work?

Yes — in most cases, your blinds can still function normally.
Depending on the type of blinds you have, some can simply drape over the exhaust hose, while others can be lowered to the height of the hose opening.
For customers who prefer maximum darkness while sleeping, we also offer tinted panel options that help reduce light transmission at night.

Does it block road noise?

Yes — to some extent.
Our acrylic panels can help reduce outside noise compared to traditional fabric or loose-fit portable AC venting kits. We also offer upgraded sound-reduction options for customers looking for maximum noise suppression.

How impact resistant is it? Will my ground floor window still be secure?

Yes — and yes.
We provide a custom-fit window security rod designed to work with our panel systems while the window is in the closed position, helping prevent the window from being forced open.
We also offer upgraded high-impact Lexan material for customers looking for maximum durability and security. Unlike standard acrylic, Lexan is extremely impact resistant and can withstand significant blunt force without failing.
Lexan upgrades are available at an additional cost.

Can I still open the window?

Yes, your window can still be opened, but how easy it is to open depends on the installation style and window configuration. We’ll review all available options with you during the quote process.

Do you offer installation?

Yes. We provide professional measurement and installation services across Metro Vancouver and surrounding areas.

Can I just buy the panel and install it myself?

Yes — absolutely.
We offer DIY options for handy homeowners who want to measure and install their own panel. We can prepare your custom panel for local pickup or shipping.
DIY orders include everything needed for a simple peel-and-stick installation.Please note: Client-measured panels do not include our Perfect Fit Guarantee, reducing the price by $100. Accurate measurements are the responsibility of the customer for all self-measured orders.

How long does the process take?

Most projects can typically be completed within approximately 1 week once measurements and compatibility have been confirmed.
